I think it’s better to look for those state-of-the-art approaches for remote sensing images. I’ve just searched some of them such as a 2018 CVPR paper “Stacked U-Nets for Ground Material Segmentation in Remote Sensing Imagery”. I am not in this field. Hope I can help you a bit.
